#HelpOurPetsTO was founded in 2017 by Emily Foucault, who recognizes the importance of mental health and the love a dog can provide. It seemed a natural fit to support people who are homeless and who feel comforted by the love of their pet. Thus, in December 2017, ThinkHatch partnered with Liberty Village Animal Hospital, Simply Laundry, and Park9 to launch #HelpOurPetsTO.
After reaching out to the community and thanks to the generosity of Toronto residents, we delivered numerous bags of pet food, blankets, leashes, treats, collars and poop bags to the respite shelter operated by the Fred Victor Organization! We continued to receive hundreds of donations from residents throughout Ontario in 2018 and 2019.
In 2020, supporting those in our community who need it most during the COVID-19 pandemic. And to ensure health and safety we continued to accept donation through our GoFundMe page. Again a big thank you to the community who helped us raise over $2,400.00 for the Fred Victor Organization. You can see more details on the GoFundMe page.
A big thank you to everyone who has helped make this possible.
